This is the first blog in the series, "Questions from the past". Let me refresh on this, IF you have not read the intro blog.
*In Matthew 24:37-41. Jesus own words were, "as in the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the son of man be". So, my question to The Father, was this, "What was going on in the days of Noah"?
Just as it was before the flood of Noah, it shall be exactly as it was then. It will be replicated again.
This is NOT uncharted territory. We can know the truth about those days of Noah. They are factual, appear in antique writings, in multiple civilizations and according to the word of God, very relevant for today. It was much more than what I was taught in Sunday school.
Part #1 (Why and the Purpose)
I grew up in a gentler-loving-peaceful world. So, what happened and what changed?! Better yet - How did it change?! It seems that we have lost our way, we have forgotten the ancient paths to walk in and they are relevant for today. Christ warned us over two thousand years ago, about "The Last Days". There is definitely something warring against every part of our culture.
There have been changes in our lifestyles and our behavior, with hostility and intolerance. We have lost absolutes with truth. We have seen an increase with violence, an increase with darkness, and people are more fearful and walking in delusion, for they do not know what is happening, but more importantly, WHY.
In Matthew 24, when the disciples asked Jesus, what is the sign of your coming? The first thing that Jesus listed was, deception. There will be a rise in false prophets, signs of wars across the earth, nations against nations, kingdoms against kingdoms, famines, pestilence, earthquakes. These are the beginning of sorrows. Then there will be persecution, people taking offense, betrayal and hatred. All for Jesus name's sake. Iniquity shall abound and the love for others shall become cold.
The other scripture that I want to draw from is 2 Timothy 3:1-5.
1"This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
4 Traitors, heady, high-minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away."
The pressure to dilute your faith will be evidence to the loss of God's absolutes. That is why Jesus said, "watch that you be not deceived".
